Sometimes (most times) it is better just to "NOT SAY IT"...Things fly through my mind all day long! They are mostly REACTIONS to the surroundings I am in.
Lets say, I am in Walmart. (This DID happen) Walking towards me is a dude with long black dreads, a top hat (Like SLASH from Guns and Roses ), Eyeliner, Combat Boots, Short Shorts, White Beater T-Shirt, Tattoos everywhere, Piercings everywhere with one chick on each arm. SO, I think as I am walking...That is an interesting looking Dude...Then My 4th grader Screams out in the dudes face...."LOOK it is A PERSON FROM WALMART!!!" (we flew to the other side of the store FAST!) If you have no idea what I am talking about go to www.peopleofwalmart.com (proceed with caution/ some not so kid appropriate stuff on people's t-shirts. When I went on the site for the first time, my 4th grader walked in the computer room...Luckily it was just a picture of a strange dude shopping at Walmart)
Lesson learned ...Proceed with caution when opening new websites and Don't say what you think...You just MIGHT get beat up by a "PERSON FROM WALMART."

RICH
This is how I KNOW I am RICH....We were feeding the community this past weekend in the projects. My son was playing with a boy his age from that community. My son was hungry and asked if "DAD could bring him some food (since we were not going to eat what we were feeding others). He asked, Could Dad bring SUBWAY?". My son's new friend piped in, "your Daddy gonna bring you Subway...man..YOU RICH!!!!" SUBWAY=RICH....yes this is real and right here in AMERICA. 5 dollar foot longs EQUAL "$$$$$$$$$".....I am still impacted. Couldn't get a hold of the hubby or would have had him bring 5 foot longs!!!! What = "RICH" to you?

Can we feed 800?

This Saturday, LIFECHURCH.TV Hendersonville is partnering up with another local Church and The Shalom Zone and we are going to feed the socks off of a community! I CANNOT wait! I have been spending some time every week in this community (the projects) and I cannot get enough. I pray EVERYONE who comes to serve for the first time this weekend will be blown away by the needs and that God will just ROCK their WORLD (as he did mine). I pray people don't just "pass out food and go home" but I pray God will open hearts, minds, ideas, eyes, actions that only HE can do.
Saturday....The Shalom Zone in Gallatin...8:00am-4:00pm. Feeding the "home bound" and the "projects." Come join us. ALL are welcome. This is not about 1 church ...this is about THE CHURCH!!! Just bring a side dish or dessert to share. Can we feed 800? I hope we feed thousands....and hundreds of Christians.

Spiritual Gifts
Such a cool series at LifeChurch.tv!! The Ghost. Do you know what your Spiritual Gifts are? Me? Kind of????...never really put a name to them...
I think of myself as .... a casserole (yes, I said casserole)...a mixture of a bunch of things (The way God made me). Not really "all this" and never "ALL THAT"...LOL! To put a name on my gifts is really not something I ever really thought about doing until today. So, I took an online test HERE and these are my results. They were all REALLY close in score. I have mixed thoughts.
1st gift ...Pastor/Shepard. hmmm...never would have guessed that... Boggled.
2nd Administration (told my hubby and he laughed, we both laughed) I am just not the administrative type (honestly, not my strength).
3rd -Mercy/Teaching..tied. hmmm... I thought Mercy would be my first. Teaching...cool...really?
4th- Prophesy I wonder if this has to do with Discernment which I thought would be my #2... (WAIT...I did tell my hubby once we were getting 400.00 in the mail that day so we could buy a NEW couch at a consignment store. (had no clue where this came from...just KNEW). Both checked the mail before we left on a lunch date..no mail. Mike made fun of me at lunch BIG TIME!!! Like where were we going to get a new couch for 400.00??? And the $$$ please!!! Came home, he got the mail..we had a check for 399.95..so cool/strange...bought a NEW couch for 375.00 at THAT consignment store. Added up all the $$$ we spent (that day) on our date , dinner for the kids, and the couch...It was a total of $399.87. We were both FREAKED out!) Tats Allz Ize GOT...
5th- Exhortation.... "college word" (I am having a brain fart and do not know what that means...I will look it up). OK (I'm back)..counsel...thought that would be higher.
6th- Serving/ Evangelism(tied)
Last-Giving...SHOCKED this is last.
Fun Test... a groovy place to start. Not sure about this order..I think I like my casserole analogy better when I describe myself....LOL.

Career Day
I once was in Middle School and I was the one sitting /listening during career day...I didn't have a clue what I wanted to be. I think I dreamed of being "Annie" in the Broadway Musical at that point....(Now it's "Miss Hannigan" HA! ). Today...20+ years later it is now me who is presenting to the kids. What a BLAST I had today. I did this through The Shalom Zone for the local kids at the school and they were just a joy!!!! They really enjoyed hearing the many travels and paths I have been on and it was fun talking about HOW everything led to now.
I then had each class choose someone to come up and pose for the camera and they helped me get the best picture of that person with different angles, lighting and poses. They also loved the pictures I brought in of Hollywood stars. They were before and after examples of photoshop airbrushing and what other photographers had done to get THAT look. They could see that no one was perfect for themselves. I ended with telling them their assignment was to look in the mirror when they got home and challenged them to REALLY get to know the person that they see. I told them they should like and invest in the person they will be spending the rest of their life with. Man, I wish someone had told me that when I was 13. (don't know if I would have really listened ... it might have stuck who knows...) regardless, Great Day!

Suffering..Really?

Are Things REALLY THAT bad? Yes you got a zit...you can't lose that 10 lbs...your kids are into everything...you have to cut back and stop the drive thru $4.00 coffee...hmmm...Laundry? Shopping? Time? Activities?
(Let me think) Right now, I personally know a little boy and a mother (this very moment in two separate states) who are struggling with after chemo effects and they would trade your hardships for theirs in a second.
REMINDER...Simply...Be a blessing to those who are under Very Heavy burdens...help lighten the load. You will be blessed.
